We grow with a purpose, yielding nutrient dense crops as we are always researching for ways to improve practices already being implemented.The Lakes of Summerville will also host a community co-op available to members wishing to grow their own crops. All fresh produce served within the communities market will be guaranteed fresh and organic for members to enjoy. The community agricultural program allows access to food without having to leave the community, How Convenient!!!
Regenerative Agriculture is the prevention of waste and rehabilitation of food and farming systems such increasing biodiversity, top soil regeneration, refine water cycling and ecosystems. Regenerative agriculture takes into account converting waste into reusable material for restoration ecology of soil and agriculture.
Here at Bluestocking Engineering & Biotechnology we create agricultural systems that offer a healthy environment for plants through both soil farming as well as hydroponic growing. Through research we are always searching for new innovative ways to improve soil health to produce more nutrient dense crops for consumption. By using only organic components, we are able to build a symbiotic relationship between the food and the consumer. This alone has the potential for food to become a medicinal property as it once was before. We raise awareness to the need for agriculture systems and farmers to adopt more regenerative practices since the agriculture sector is one of the biggest emitters of CO2.
Geodesic shelters have been built all around the world in different climates and temperatures and still they have proven to be the most efficient human shelter one can find. More specifically, the dome is energy efficient for many reasons: Its decreased surface area and requires less building materials.
Kasheena and Shandrena are both scientist with broad interdisciplinary backgrounds in the field of science and technology. Kasheena has an extensive background in direct patient care. Working with patients having complex diagnosis and seeing the effects of disease on the body made her eager to study life from a molecular level.
Kasheena has a degree in Biotechnology and is currently pursing a degree in Biomedical Science. After completing her MD/PhD Kasheena plans to actively work and research studies geared towards understanding the relationship between agriculture and biomedical science.
Shandrena has a background and degrees in the fields of electrical engineering as well as industrial engineering. She is experienced in building functionable systems that run with minimal error. Her passion for automation led her to gain a degree in Biotechnology. Through researcher her projects are geared towards creating healthy environments providing sustainability and more efficient living through the use of natural resources.
